Anyway, the trip was good. The Kaddo Borawni was superb, as was the Lamb Lawand... Hmmmm, goooood!
Not much to say other than point out Vista has turned out to be, well, a typical Microsoft product as demonstrated here and here. Is anyone surprised?
In all fairness, Apple is not without it's issues. DocStymie, you may want to be aware of this one.
Finally, it's World Cup time! Cricket that is. Ireland tied Zimbabwe. How cool is that?
Instead of a word of the post, here's little quote from the online commentary of the England-New Zealand match from the BBC:
In reply to those of you asking for more info on the gaggle (this in reference to an earlier comment about a group of young women)- specifically, how many are international class - I say two things: firstly, that that sort of sexist badinage has no place on the BBC, and secondly, about half of them."
I love the English commentators...

About time too......I was getting withdrawal have to read the same old entry.....seriously though was it a good trip?
Welcome back! I'm glad you had a good trip.
Ireland playing Zimbabwae to a tie was impressive... Ireland beating Pakistan was special!! (as is the BBC commentary!).
Yes indeed. Ireland is having one hell of a World Cup! Go Leprechauns!
And yes, Jollyrgr, it was a very good trip. Learned much, made some good new contacts, renewed some old ones, and got elected as secretary/treasurer of a subgroup of the society (I ran on the platform "I don't fetch coffee, unless it's for me, you don't want to see me in a skirt, and my math skills suck"). Apparently I don't run good election campaigns...
Bro....you were bound to win with catchy slogans like those
Even I'd vote for you:-0
Actually it was very hard to lose... I ran unopposed. :-)
I'm about to become the Vice-President of the Cricket Club for the same unopposed reason...
At least vice-president (president of vice?) sounds more impressive than secretary/treasurer. I mean, let's be honest, who gets past the "secretary" part?
I don't think we should mention your 'secretary part'.........eeeewwwww
I was originally nominated for secretary, but I was upgraded to VP... Apparently the previous committee hold me in far to high esteem!
And as a Dean recently said in a workshop I attended "if you are really passionate about something that a committee is targetting, become the secretary..."
I'm leaving JollyRgr's comment well alone...
